Installing EBA DMS Client

The installation process guides you through the installation wizard, which is customised to suit the default values for common users. Additional components are only installed for advanced users or needs.

There are two components to an EBA DMS client installation:

  • EBA DMS Client is a graphical user interface. This is a major component that can be installed as a standalone assembly.
  • EBA Tools are developer tools. Common users do not need to install this component.

There are several ways to install:

Server-hosted installation is most common in multi-user companies. The entire system is installed on the server, and the client is installed locally on individual workstations.

Local installation is used in companies with only one user. The entire system, along with the database, is installed on the user’s computer.

Installation must be done as an Administrator in Windows, and the installer is usually located in the shared C:\ eba_share\install\ folder on the server unless otherwise agreed.

User account control in Windows will prompt you to allow this installer to make changes on your device. Confirm your choice with “Yes”.

Wait for the installer to finish.

An icon appears on your desktop. You can run EBA DMS at any time from the desktop where the shortcut was created. If you installed EBA DMS for the first time, you need to set up a connection to the database and have your company registered.
