You can import / scan paper and electronic documents into the EBA DMS system. User must have permission set on its workplace – for importing and scanning it is permission “Drafts”.
Basic principle is to scan or import a document, then process it – define document sender/receiver and document type. Further you can OCR certain data directly from paper document for various needs – to provide obligatory data on document or to fill out supporting document.
Scanning and importing is done in Processing tab in Scanner module.
The EBA DMS system converts each scanned and imported document into .tiff image. After document is processed and forwarded to users EBA DMS converts the image into PDF file.
By default scanned and imported documents are in black and white mode. You must opt to scan or import in color if you want to have coloured documents in the system.
