Windows Active Directory Authentication

EBA DMS allows you to log in to the programme using Windows Active Directory, or the username and password used to log in to Windows.

Switching on the Windows Active Directory plug-in

The Windows AD plug-in is activated from the Administration>Authentication menu.

If we want to search AD and import users into EBA DMS, then we need to fill in the fields below:

  • Defualt domain
  • URL to active directory
  • User name
  • Password

Login to EBA DMS

From the Administration>Permissions>Users menu, right-click on a user and select Change Details:

Figure 1: User Management Menu In the window that opens, add a tick under Windows Authentication and enter your Windows username.

Figure 2: Turn on Windows Authentication and enter a username.

When you have finished the settings, click OK and close EBA DMS. Restart the program and log in with your Windows environment credentials.
